Expanded Mask Mandate

November 26, 2020

A letter to families from Board Chair Dwight Guy and Director of Education Barb MacKesey

Dear parents and caregivers:

As we prepare to enter into the season of Advent, we would like to thank everyone for your continued efforts in helping to keep students, staff, families, and communities safe and healthy. Thank you for staying home when you are sick, keeping your children home if they are sick, isolating when required, and following the advice of health professionals.
As you may be aware, on Wednesday, November 25th, the provincial government announced additional measures, including an expanded mask mandate for all students, employees, and visitors in all schools.

The updated mask protocols, will be implemented in all Christ the Teacher Catholic schools effective Friday, November 27 and, along with current health measures, remain in effect until December 17, 2020 as directed by the Government of Saskatchewan.

We understand that this may be new for some schools and for our younger students, so it is important to be flexible and patient while they adjust to the new protocol. Schools will continue to work directly with individuals who require accommodations and additional support.
