Welcome to St. Michael’s School

St. Michael’s is a dual-track school offering Christian education to students in Kindergarten to Grade 8 in accordance with the curriculum as outlined by the Ministry of Education. Programs are offered in English as well as French immersion.

 

St. Michael’s is the newest Catholic elementary school located in the northeast corner or Yorkton, serving the Heritage Heights area and the Weinmaster Park area.  It opened its doors on August 28, 1998.  The design won international recognition by the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.  Architectural design by Frigstad and Downing of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Contractor – Graham Construction of Regina, Saskatchewan.

 

St. Michael’s School is part of a shared complex that includes 3 gymnasiums, 2 racquetball/squash courts, a walking track, a shared stage, servery and resource centre and a similar-sized public school. Cost of the initial project $12,000,000.00.  Saint Michael’s School – 2586.4 square meters with the addition of another 335 sq. meters in February 2006.  Shared resource centre – 570 square meters.  Walking track – 140 meters.
