Our Vision

Our school is one in which God, His Life and His Truth are integrated into the entire program and everyday life at the school.  It is a community involving children, staff, religious personnel, and parents enlightened by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Parents are the first educators of their children.  We welcome and encourage parental support, involvement, and communication, as they are critical in the education of our children.
We aspire to develop citizens who will acquire the requisite skills to meet the academic, moral, and ethical needs of today and tomorrow.
We strive to develop self-discipline in the student while honouring the dignity of the child.
Our Virtues program fosters an environment that is friendly, open, caring and safe, which promotes respect, appreciation, and acceptance of all.

Our Purpose

The Catholic education of All children at St. Alphonsus School is centred on the teachings of Jesus Christ, which is based on creating an environment of unconditional love. Our purpose is to ensure success for all students by helping them develop academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically.

Our Faith

Catholic education that is based on the teachings and example of Jesus Christ.  It is a form of education that recognizes the importance of the spiritual development of the child as a necessary part of the child’s growth and education.  Our school strives to include this focus in all aspects of school life including classroom instruction, the administration of the school, discipline, and the general school community and atmosphere.
We believe that the daily experiences in a student’s school life shoud be consistent with and support what is taught at home.  Catholic schools work in partnership with the family and Church to help teach and continually reinforce the values, morals and beliefs our parents hold for their children.
